In Brief: Nasscom FutureSkills  partners with Microsoft for AI skilling programme

Nasscom FutureSkills has inked a deal with technology major Microsoft to launch a nation-wide artificial intelligence (AI) skilling initiative, according to a statement. The programme aims to skill  1 million students in AI by 2021. Students will be able to access Microsoft’s AI, machine learning, and data science expertise via modules including live demos, hands-on workshops, and assignments. The National Association of Software and Service Companies or Nasscom is an information technology (IT) industry lobby and provides digital learning programmes via its FutureSkills platform.

Swiggy inks deal with software firm IndiVillage for data annotation

Bengaluru based food aggregator Swiggy has joined hands with software firm IndiVillage, to boost solutions and service delivery for the platform’s artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) charter. IndiVillage has been working with Swiggy since April, especially in the area of voice annotation work that provides training data for Swiggy’s ML algorithms, a statement said. According to the companies, an essential application of the speech data annotation undertaken by IndiVillage, is the development of AI-driven speech recognition models for Swiggy’s call centre process.

Treeni Sustainability Solutions enters into a deal with Sonata Software

Atlanta headquartered consulting and software firm Treeni Sustainability Solutions has entered into a strategic partnership with global technology company Sonata Software, to build smart sustainability strategies, according to a statement. Treeni uses its cloud based software as a service (SaaS) platform to build enterprise resilience and minimise environmental, social and governance and supply chain risks. Sonata enables successful platform based digital transformation initiatives for enterprises. Under the current collaboration, both companies will benefit from each other’s business expertise and will take sustainability solutions to clients at a faster pace.
