Edtech startup Avishkaar has launched an internet of things (IoT) super starter kit for children aged eight and above. The kit will help children learn about the IoT and its application, according to a statement. Children, with the help of the kit, can make projects ranging from home automation, wearable technologies to smart appliances, and more. Priced at Rs 3,999, the kit has more than 40 electronic components.

Flipkart launches online pharmacy

Walmart backed ecommerce major Flipkart on Wednesday rolled out epharmacy on its platform. The Bengaluru based firm will offer a range of homoeopathy, allopathy, and other medicinal products, the Inc42 reported. 

Delhi HC stays tax assessment in Tiger Global case

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday stayed tax assessment against New York-based alternative investment firm Tiger Global in the Flipkart exit case, until January 18. The court, via a ruling by a division bench of Justice Sanjeev Narula and Justice Manmohan, has given 10 weeks to the tax department for filing a counter-affidavit, Mint reported.

Digital payments firms including PhonePe, Mobikwik, and Infibeam Avenues, have come in support of Noida-based Paytm as it takes on telecom regulator and operators over their alleged failure in providing adequate safeguards in curbing financial frauds, according to a report by the Economic Times. These firms claimed that customers are being targeted through calls and SMSes. Additionally, fintech firms have blamed the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) for not heeding to companies' complaints of fraudsters duping users. Further, these companies have submitted a writ intervention appeal in the Delhi HC via a lobby group --Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI)-- to become party in One97 Communications’ case against Trai. The next hearing will be held on November 25, the report added.

SEBI expected to issue a fresh draft for trading platforms

Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is expected to unveil its latest draft for stock market index Nasdaq-like trading platform, according to a report by the Economic Times. Innovators Growth Platform (IGP), previously known as the Institutional Trading Platform, is in the works for some time now. Among other changes, startups and venture capital firms have recommended making delisting norms easier, the report added.

Mercedes selects Capgemini for application development and maintenance services

Information technology services firm Capgemini on Wednesday said that it has been selected to provide application development and maintenance services for Mercedes Benz Research and Development, India. Under the terms of the deal, Capgemini will enable application development and maintenance across all the client’s application clusters including, generic, testing, and niche technologies, according to a statement.
