Tech Mahindra on Thursday said it has launched Cloudefender, a new cloud-based attack mitigation solution powered by cyber security and application delivery services provider Radware.

The new cloud security offering will enable Cloud DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) Protection, Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall), Bot Management and Cloud Native Protector services, as per a statement.

“This last year bore witness to an unprecedented transition of business-critical workloads to the cloud. While this enabled companies around the world to shift to remote work, it also emboldened cyber threat actors, who opportunistically wrought havoc. Now, perhaps more than ever, securing cloud environments is crucial,” Radware CEO Roy Zisapel said.

The partnership between Tech Mahindra and NASDAQ listed Radware will provide comprehensive cybersecurity protection to customers for both their network and their applications regardless of whether their infrastructure is cloud native, hybrid, or data centre driven, the statement added.

“Our global enterprise and telecom customers are demanding turnkey, multi-tenant, highly flexible detection and attack mitigation platforms that would provide a reliable, flexible, and scalable cyber security protection to be delivered to them as-a-Service model,” Rajesh Chandiramani, senior vice president and global business head of enterprise security risk management (ESRM), artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics at Tech Mahindra, said.

The partnership is in line with Pune headquartered Tech Mahindra’s focus on digital growth, it added.

Earlier this month, the $5.2 billion company, part of the $19.4 billion Mahindra Group, partnered with Silicon Valley firm ThoughtSpot to offer AI-driven analytics for enterprises globally.

On the deal-making front, it recently signed multiple digital transformation deals in Europe .

In February, it announced an end-to-end IT transformation deal with Telefonica Germany, and an IT infrastructure digitisation strategy deal with general insurer RSA Scandinavia.
