Information technology (IT) services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Tuesday said it has renewed its partnership with UK’s Nationwide Building Society to offer enterprise agility and operational resilience to the financial institution.

TCS has worked with Nationwide for over 10 years now to build its core technology stack to help drive innovation, newer services, and improve experiences for its members. Under the extended contract, TCS will transform Nationwide’s strategic applications and IT infrastructure, according to a statement. It will include building new agile architectures based on DevSecOps principles and newer technologies.

Nationwide is the world's largest building society as well as one of the largest savings and mortgages providers in the UK. With around 15 million customers, it also offers current accounts, credit cards, ISAs and personal loans.

“Our continued technology investments will simplify our IT estate and create the platforms and services necessary to meet the future needs of our members. The partnership with TCS will help us meet these challenges while prioritising the security and resilience our members expect every day,” Gary Delooze, chief information officer, Nationwide Building Society said.

Over the last decade, TCS has executed many programs at Nationwide including strategic initiatives such as regional brand integration, consolidation and simplification of its data centre operations and has supported its resiliency agenda, the statement added. Nationwide was also one of the early adopters of TCS’ artificial intelligence product ignio AIOps.

“We look forward to strengthening our long-standing strategic partnership with Nationwide and supporting their push towards being a purpose-driven, resilient and adaptable organization. Our deep contextual knowledge, digital expertise, agile practices, and new ways of working will meet Nationwide’s growing business needs and ensure future resiliency,” said Satya Mishra, business unit head, BFSI UK and Ireland, TCS.
