TechThisWeek: BlackBuck founder Rajesh Yabaji on unicorn valuation, biz priorities

Rajesh Yabaji, founder and CEO of 2015-founded trucking marketplace platform BlackBuck, joined the latest episode of TechThisWeek to lay bare the company’s priorities just as it gained unicorn status in the week. 

The Bengaluru based startup’s supply side work has been fairly deep across over 2,000 locations it is currently present in India, where it has captured about 40-45% of road transport fleet owners, Yabaji said. 

It now aims to double down on the penetration to all nooks and corners of identified locations, thereby capturing about 80% truckers across Indian industrial towns that take to digital solutions for end-to-end fleet management. The company also plans to develop solutions in financial services for truckers, Yabaji added. 

Yabaji told TechCircle the B2B logistics space in the Indian startup ecosystem will take at least another 18-24 months to mature to a stage of possible consolidations.
