The ICT Academy has partnered with enterprise automation software company UiPath to bring automation into the curriculum of over 1,000 institutions that have collaboration with it.

The partnership will aim to increase the literacy on automation among teachers, administrative staff and students of the institutions.

Through the program, UiPath will also work with universities and autonomous colleges to help adopt robotic process automation (RPA) into the curriculum, hence creating a talent pipeline of UiPath professionals, who could be hired as interns or full-time employees by automation companies.

Anil Bhasin, Managing Director and Vice-President of UiPath said, “Our joint endeavour with ICT Academy will enable us to create a workforce that can succeed in today’s automation-first future.”

Gartner in a recent research had predicted that 90% of large organisations will have adopted some form of RPA by 2022, while October 2020 survey by Deloitte showed that 78% of organisations were already implementing RPA.

UiPath, earlier this year said that its Academic Alliance members had jumped by 50% as compared to the previous year. Globally, UiPath has alliances with about 1,000 higher education institutions to provide curricula on RPA.
