OPPO has carried out a 5G standalone and non-standalone network trial for its Reno 7 Series in collaboration with Reliance Jio. The Indian arm of the Dongguan, Guangdong-based firm has also claimed that its 5G trial, which was concluded in a demo set-up, has yielded positive results in the form of ‘lag-free 4K video streams’, ‘super-fast’ uploads and downloads.

OPPO had also conducted 5G standalone network trial for Reno 6 Series under the 5G SA network environment provided by Jio at its 5G Lab in July last year. Just like this time around, the site infrastructure and network provider Jio carried out these tests by utilizing the allocated mid-band trial spectrum.

Tasleem Arif, Vice President, India R&D Head, OPPO India, said, “Technology such as 5G is altering how the world communicates today and tests like these will further consolidate our efforts in the industry & provide the best value proposition for our customers, “ adding, “Staying true to our mission of elevating life through technology artistry, our finely engineered and 5G capable Reno 7 Series will deliver the best user experience as OPPO takes handheld device capabilities to a higher level.”
