Indian information technology (IT) firm 3i Infotech has announced a partnership with US-based cloud services company, CoreStack, to offer managed multi-cloud services to companies looking to adopt cloud services as part of their digital transformation initiatives. While 3i Infotech will offer cloud platforms to host company data, CoreStack will offer a suite of cloud governance services that are compatible with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud to offer business analytics for the same.

3i Infotech offers managed cyber security services through its NuRe Edge cloud platform, and is a Microsoft-certified Cloud Services Provider (CSP) for enterprises. The platform is also 5G enabled for high bandwidth data handling, and partners with Oracle for edge cloud computing services. Its partnership with CoreStack will see the NuRe Edge platform being integrated with The platform will be integrated with CoreStack’s Next-Gen Cloud Governance platform to offer businesses undertaking digital transformation with insights — such as monitoring costs of cloud based operations, analyzing operational efficiencies and handling cyber security requirements through 3i Infotech’s managed services.

A cloud governance service allows enterprises to set custom rules and requirements for their data on cloud platforms, and monitor their operations to adjust efficiencies based on their business requirements.

Nitesh Gupta, senior vice-president and head of global practices at 3i Infotech, said that to keep up with digital transformation mandates across the world, companies are today required to “adapt to rapid change in managing their network, security, and data complexity on the internet or at the edge.” Gupta further added that as a result, business models of service providers — such as 3i Infotech and CoreStack — are also evolving in tandem.

The partnership comes amid a sea of industry-wide transformation among cloud-based security service providers, who have been adopting a multi-cloud approach to appeal to a wider range of enterprises. In May this year, industry stakeholders told Mint that a multi-cloud approach, including dedicated security providers (such as 3i Infotech), is the way forward for cloud computing to evolve among businesses.

Suren Singh, vice-president of partnerships and alliances at CoreStack, said that the adoption of cloud governance platforms are important, since companies today are “pouring in tremendous investments in technology across their lines of businesses.”
