Consulting firm Deloitte has extended its partnership with Google Cloud. As part of the partnership, the two companies will help clients realise better, faster value from cloud investments by implementing Google Cloud.

Further, Deloitte is increasing investments in its global Google Cloud capabilities by training and certifying tens of thousands of cloud, AI, and security professionals around the globe, it said in a press release.

"The expansion of our alliance and our global Google Cloud practice further solidifies our commitment to bringing Google Cloud technologies to organisations in all industries and sectors," said Matt Lacey, Deloitte's global chief commercial officer for the Alphabet Google relationship.

The companies said that they will co-invest in several new joint solutions to speed up enterprise cloud adoption and help clients realise the value from their cloud investments in three ways. One, through real-time associate productivity. This allows retailers to maximise their store team's impact by deploying cloud technologies.

The second one, Deloitte Google Cloud Accelerator allows for the creation of secure landing zones with applied policies to create trusted cloud platforms for financial exchanges and the third solution is Candidate360, which harnesses Google Cloud's data analytics and AI capabilities to identify powerful insights in higher education.

Kevin Ichhpurani, corporate vice president global ecosystem and channels, Google Cloud, mentioned that the collaboration will help, especially large and complex organisations in “maximising value from their cloud investments and solve the most pressing challenges within their industries”.

Deloitte also said that it will bring Google Cloud's capabilities in data analytics and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) to scale its collaboration, especially in security practices. The two organisations will also co-invest in solutions and end-to-end managed services for security operations, cyber analytics and zero trust, and will help joint clients securely adopt multi-cloud strategies, it said.

Deloitte has also recently teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide cloud-based products and services in digital banking to the market faster. For example, users can access Amazon products like Amazon Connect to create a call centre, Amazon Cognito for customer security, and Amazon Pinpoint for client-relationship management.
