IT firm Infosys has announced plans to extend its collaboration with Google Cloud. This move aims to empower enterprises to harness the potential of AI using Infosys' Topaz offerings in conjunction with Google Cloud's generative AI solutions.
As part of this partnership expansion, Infosys is launching the global Generative AI Labs. These labs will focus on crafting industry-specific AI solutions and platforms, enabling businesses to seamlessly incorporate generative AI into their operations. Additionally, Infosys aims to train 20,000 professionals in Google Cloud's gen AI solutions, ensuring proficient support for various generative AI projects.
This development builds upon Infosys' existing expertise in data, analytics, and AI on Google Cloud. The company is actively collaborating with Google Cloud to develop a suite of transformative AI platforms and industry solutions. These solutions encompass an array of business scenarios, such as Consumer AI, autonomous supply chain management, marketing automation, anti-money laundering, and customer service optimisation.
Several of Infosys' existing platforms and solutions, including Infosys Live Enterprise Application Management Platform, Infosys Applied AI Platform, Infosys Customer Intelligence Platform, Infosys Data Streams, and Infosys Supply Chain AI Platform, will be enhanced with Infosys Topaz and Google Cloud's generative AI capabilities.
Salil Parekh, CEO, Infosys, said, “Infosys has been long making investments in the AI space. We are leveraging generative AI to deliver transformative business solutions as well as integrating it in many of our offerings to accelerate productivity. The combined strength of Google Cloud’s generative AI capabilities, Infosys Cobalt, and Infosys Topaz will help enterprises transform and future-proof their business, built on strong digital, cloud, and next-generation AI capabilities.”
Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud, said, “Generative AI is fundamentally changing how businesses operate, from enabling supply chain managers to operate more sustainably to helping marketers more efficiently create campaigns. Through our expanded partnership with Infosys, we will give our mutual customers the resources and skills needed to use generative AI today to create real-world value for their organizations.”
Notably, Infosys has been accelerating its AI initiatives. Last month, the company announced a collaboration with AI chip giant Nvidia, aimed at driving productivity gains for enterprises globally through generative AI applications and solutions. This expanded partnership will integrate Nvidia's AI Enterprise ecosystem into Infosys Topaz, enabling seamless integration of generative AI into businesses.
In addition, Infosys plans to establish an Nvidia Center of Excellence, aiming to train and certify 50,000 employees in NvidiaAI technology. This initiative will allow Infosys to provide comprehensive generative AI expertise to its extensive network of customers across various industries.
