
UST expands in Pune; plans to offer 6,000 jobs


UST, a technology and digital transformation company, has opened a new office in Pune as part of its expansion in India. The company plans to create 3,500 to 6,000 jobs in the city over the next three to five years.
The new facility, located in Balewadi’s EQ Smartworks, covers 80,000 square feet and has over 1,000 seats. The Pune Center of Excellence, with more than 2,000 employees, focuses on data science, data engineering, design, product engineering, and digital applications. It serves clients in industries such as fintech, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and automotive.
On this occasion, Alexander Varghese, Chief Operating Officer, UST, said, “Through these expansions, we are planning to scale our operations significantly, aligning with business needs and market opportunities in digital transformation. Our focus is on building a strong talent base, business consulting pipeline, strategic partnerships, and expanding infrastructure to support our growing teams in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Design, and Engineering.”

Over the next three years, UST aims to grow its seating capacity and workforce across its India offices. The company is also expanding in other cities. In 2023, UST opened a second office in Bengaluru and a Design Experience Centre. It also started building a second campus in Kochi, Kerala, with plans to create 3,000 jobs in five years. Additionally, the company launched a research and development office at the International Tech Park in Hyderabad.
