Indian IT services firm Infosys on Thursday expanded its strategic collaboration with DNB Bank ASA, Norway's largest bank, to accelerate the bank's digital transformation.

The partnership will leverage the Infosys Finacle platform and next-generation technologies to modernize DNB's IT infrastructure, enhance customer experience, and optimize operational efficiency.

The company has been in a decade-long partnership with the Norwegian bank. The collaboration now focuses on improving IT resilience, modernizing legacy systems, and delivering personalized lending solutions. Infosys will implement AI and ML technologies to enable seamless, personalized banking services while proactively mitigating risks and minimizing disruptions.

Elin Sandnes, COO and Group Executive Vice President of Technology and Services, DNB, said, “With our extended collaboration with Infosys, we are modernising our IT infrastructure and leveraging advanced technologies like AI and ML to enable seamless, personalised, and agile services to our customers.” The partnership allows the bank to address its customers’ evolving needs to ensure they receive the best possible banking experience from DNB, Sandnes said.

“Our proven track record in large-scale IT transformations enables DNB to remain resilient while embracing rapid change,” Dennis Gada, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services, at Infosys, said in a statement.

In recent years, the Bengaluru-headquartered IT company has significantly enhanced its presence within the Nordic region through strategic alliances and acquisitions, including recent office openings in Älmhult and Helsingborg, Sweden, in March to serve regional customers across manufacturing, logistics, and retail. These centres will help customers develop advanced systems leveraging Infosys’ AI-first offerings, Topaz and Infosys Cobalt, its cloud solutions offerings.

Other recent and notable investments in the Nordic region, including a Gothenburg proximity centre, have allowed Infosys to collaborate closely with clients like Polestar, Posti, and STARK Group on next-gen solutions and digital transformation. This includes a dedicated technology hub in Bengaluru for Polestar, focused on EV software development and validation.

On April 17, the IT firm reported an 11.75% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit for Q4FY25 to ₹7,033 crore. In the same quarter last year, the company's profit was ₹7,969 crore. However, the company's revenue from operations for the quarter under review rose 8% YoY to ₹40,925 crore from ₹37,923 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.
