Customer service provider Hinduja Global Solutions announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer (CEO). The Bengaluru-headquartered company has elevated Venkatesh Korla as the new global CEO from his earlier role of President & CEO of HGS Americas. Korla takes over from Partha DeSarkar, who has now retired from the post.

With 25 years of experience as an industry veteran, Korla has expertise in core digital services and tech-enabled customer experience (CX). He has a track record of growing high-performance teams globally and fostering lasting client relationships. He founded Element Solutions, later acquired by HGS; it is now forming the foundation of HGS’ tech services business, which delivers strategic consulting, data analytics, marketing technology, intelligent automation, and cloud solutions to clients across the private and public sectors.

In the past, he has been part of organisations providing expert consultation on digital strategies and solutions to Global 1000 companies, healthcare institutions, universities, and not-for-profit organisations.

“The company is currently evolving to align towards an AI-led future in line with the technology changes in the market and evolving client needs. Venkatesh, with his deep expertise and proven track record of leading digital transformation at scale, is the right person to lead HGS’ future growth with a digital approach,” said Ashok P. Hinduja, Chairman, HGS.

Korla said that leveraging technology, HGS will create ‘meaningful, human-centered solutions’ that will accelerate the company’s journey as a digitally-led organisation.
Along with Korla, HGS has also promoted Mahesh Kumar Nutalapati from Deputy CFO to the new Global CFO. Nutalapati has joined the company in February. A chartered accountant by qualification, he has professional experience in Financial Transformations, Risk management, Business enablement, IPOs, M&As - strategic evaluations & funding, Global Audit & Treasury management, establishment and management of Global Capability Centres (GCCs).

These two key appointments were announced on the sidelines of HGS’ annual report release. HGS revenue from operations stood at ₹ 4,404.2 crore, while the PAT came in at ₹  100.7 crore (including Discontinued operations profit).
