Ishan Technologies to offer access to over 1,000 GPUs under IndiaAI Mission

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and digital connectivity platform Ishan Technologies has been empanelled under the Government of India-initiated IndiaAI Mission to provide Artificial Intelligence (AI) compute infrastructure. The Ahmedabad-headquartered company will be offering access to over 1,000 high-performance GPUs, chips that are specialised for AI applications.
With this announcement, Ishan Technologies joins the list of six other providers, which include names such as Yotta Data Services and E2E Networks. To be sure, this empanelment is towards building a sovereign and distributed AI infrastructure to provide on-demand compute capacity for startups, academic researchers, and public sector developers. The IndiaAI Mission, which was launched in 2024 with an outlay of ₹10,000 crore, already has over 34,000 GPUs committed towards it.
“Our vision aligns closely with the IndiaAI Mission — to make high-end AI infrastructure accessible to innovators across the country, not just the metros. This empanelment reaffirms our commitment to powering India's AI ecosystem with secure, scalable, and India-ready infrastructure,” said Pinkesh Kotecha, Chairman and Managing Director, Ishan Technologies.

Last month, Ishan Technologies announced a partnership with chip maker AMD to power its Tier-3 Mumbai Data Center with 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors. At the time, the company said that by integrating these processors, it would be able to service enterprises across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), ITeS, and manufacturing industries, as well as GCCs and government organisations, to meet India's data localisation requirements and drive AI-led digital transformation.
Beyond compute, Ishan Technologies offers capabilities in edge networks and core data components. On the security front, the company follows MeitY’s cloud security guidelines and compliance protocols. The company leverages its expertise to deliver AI workloads tuned to specific use cases and built on high-performance cloud architecture with multi-zone redundancy for fault tolerance and continuous availability.
