Tech Mahindra, Cisco launch managed cloud security services

IT services provider Tech Mahindra has partnered with Security and networking company Cisco to introduce managed services for Cisco Multicloud Defense. This new service is aimed at improving security for organisations using multiple cloud platforms.
Cisco Multicloud Defense is part of Cisco’s Hybrid Mesh Firewall. It provides a single software-as-a-service (SaaS) control panel to manage and monitor security across public and private cloud environments. Tech Mahindra will offer these services to help enterprises manage security operations more effectively.
The service is designed to prevent external threats, block unauthorised internal access, and stop data leaks. It reduces the need for multiple security tools, offering a more streamlined solution.

Tech Mahindra will use its experience in cloud transformation and managed services to support the offering. The company plans to provide round-the-clock monitoring and assistance. The services are also designed to scale with business growth, adjusting to the specific needs of each organisation.
The partnership also helps expand Tech Mahindra’s existing security services and its market presence. The company will use this collaboration to further train its workforce in cloud security technologies. This effort is supported by a dedicated Cisco Business Unit that was launched in 2023.
Cisco aims to use Tech Mahindra’s service capabilities to bring its cloud defense technology to more global customers. The move comes as demand for simple and effective cloud security continues to grow among enterprises managing complex IT systems.

Kunal Purohit, President – Next Gen Services, Tech Mahindra, said, "The increasing complexity of multi-cloud environments demands robust security solutions that are simple, effective, and scalable. Together, we are committed to providing a secure and seamless cloud experience for our customers."
Shannon Leininger, Vice President of Global Partner Sales, Cisco, said, "Cisco Multicloud Defense is designed to deliver best security for today's multi-cloud world. This partnership will empower customers to strengthen their cybersecurity posture amid today’s complex security landscape.”
