LTTS opens new engineering design centre in Texas, to create 350 plus jobs

IT services provider L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has opened a new Engineering Design Center in Plano, Texas, marking an expansion of its operations in the US. The facility is aimed to support the development of advanced technologies in Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital manufacturing, and defence systems.
The centre, which complies with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) regulations, has been designed to handle sensitive defence-related projects, including the design, development and testing of specialised products. It will also serve as a base for developing cybersecurity solutions and smart city technologies, featuring a dedicated Security Operations Center.
ITAR are US rules governing the export and import of defence-related goods and services.

Initially, the site will employ 100 engineers, with plans to create more than 350 highly skilled jobs as operations expand.
During the event, the company showcased several innovations, including a digital manufacturing platform known as the Factory of the Future, a railway track inspection tool called TrackEI, and the LTTS iDriVe framework supporting autonomous driving and battery management technologies. Other highlights included an AI-driven imaging solution built on Nvidia’s Jetson platform for use in medical procedures, and a smart city analytics platform called Fusion.
The centre is expected to strengthen Texas’ position as a destination for technology development and digital transformation.

“This center is more than just an engineering hub. Plano is now a critical pillar in our global delivery model, with proximity to our clients, while working closely with local partners and talent to co-create industry-defining solutions right here in Texas,” said Alind Saxena, President & Executive Director - Mobility & Tech, LTTS.
Separately, LTTS recently announced a $50 million, five-year agreement with a global energy company for enterprise data and digital services. Under this deal, the company will provide a range of engineering and digital solutions as part of the client’s long-term digital transformation plans.
Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS, said that the agreement built on the firm’s experience in supporting over 600 industrial plants worldwide, combining engineering expertise with digital technologies to improve operational performance.
