Hexaware, Abluva partner to deliver secure AI solutions for life sciences

Hexaware Technologies, an IT services and solutions provider based in Mumbai, has joined forces with Abluva, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) security services provider, to offer secure AI solutions for the life sciences sector. The partnership aims to tackle the security challenges posed by autonomous AI systems, which are vital for drug discovery, clinical trials, patient data management, and commercial operations in the industry.
The collaboration aims that AI systems operate within secure, compliant, and auditable frameworks. As life sciences organisations embrace AI to streamline research, enhance patient outcomes, and boost efficiency, the need for robust security has grown. Autonomous AI agents, capable of independently performing tasks like data analysis or decision-making, can introduce risks if not properly managed. This partnership seeks to address those risks while allowing companies to fully leverage AI’s potential.
Abluva’s solution provides real-time oversight, ensuring AI agents adhere to predefined roles and purposes to prevent unauthorised actions. It includes data masking and advanced visibility tools to safeguard sensitive information throughout the AI lifecycle, from development and training to deployment and ongoing use. A standout feature is the system’s “self-healing” capability, which automatically detects and corrects irregular or potentially harmful AI behaviour in real time, minimising the risk of errors or breaches. This is particularly critical in life sciences, where data sensitivity and compliance with regulations like HIPAA in the United States and GDPR in the European Union are essential.

The partnership will also ensure that AI systems align with internal governance policies, offering transparency and accountability. This is crucial in clinical and research settings, where AI handles large volumes of confidential patient and trial data. Embedded governance and audit mechanisms help organisations avoid regulatory penalties while building trust in AI-driven processes.
Raj Gondhali, Assistant Vice President and Head of Clinical Solutions at Hexaware, said, “Working with Abluva allows us to deliver secure, advanced AI solutions to major pharmaceutical companies and contract research organisations.”
Raj Darji, Chief Executive Officer at Abluva, said, “Together, we can provide solutions that address the unique challenges of autonomous AI in this field, enabling organisations to scale their AI initiatives confidently.”

Amit Gautam, Abluva’s Chief Technology Officer, emphasised the technical strengths of the partnership. “Our Secure Intelligence Plane offers sophisticated, real-time governance for AI systems,” he said. “Partnering with Hexaware allows us to bring this technology to a broader audience, addressing the critical need for secure AI in complex life sciences environments where data integrity and compliance are paramount.”
