Krutrim partners with Cloudera to support AI, data workloads in India

Krutrim, an Indian sovereign cloud platform focused on AI infrastructure, has partnered with Cloudera, a hybrid data platform company, to deliver large-scale data and AI solutions for enterprise use. As part of this collaboration, Krutrim is using Cloudera’s data and AI capabilities to power analytics and data lake workloads on its cloud infrastructure. Ola is the first major enterprise to adopt the solution, which will soon be offered to other businesses in India.
The integration of Cloudera’s platform enables Krutrim to support data engineering, model training, and inference at scale. These capabilities are intended to help Indian enterprises improve operational efficiency and generate faster insights from diverse and high-volume data sources.
Krutrim is building a vertically integrated cloud platform designed to address the computing, storage, data management, and AI application needs of the Indian market. Its AI technology stack includes foundational models that support multiple Indian languages in text, voice, and video formats.
Cloudera’s consulting services and platform tools have enabled Krutrim to develop real-time data processing systems, already being used by Ola. These systems help manage large datasets securely while ensuring scalability and reliability. The broader aim is to provide AI-powered data lake solutions for businesses, researchers, and startups across India.
"We are focused on building India’s cloud with deep integrated capabilities across infrastructure, data, and AI to better serve the unique needs of the Indian market,” said Navendu Agarwal, Senior Vice President and Head of Business, Krutrim.
Mayank Baid, Regional Vice President, India & South Asia, Cloudera, said, “The partnership reinforces Cloudera’s position as a preferred partner for data-driven transformation in India’s rapidly evolving technology landscape and the development underscores Krutrim’s commitment to building an enterprise-grade, India-first cloud that meets the high demands of enterprises.”
