
EY India appoints Gaurav Bhalotia as Chief Technology Officer


EY India has appointed Gaurav Bhalotia as its Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for shaping the firm’s technology strategy and expanding its software-based solutions for clients. His focus will include building and scaling platforms that use artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies.
Bhalotia has more than two decades of experience in leading technology and product teams. Before joining EY India, he was the CTO at Udaan, a business-to-business e-commerce company, where he managed engineering, product, data science, design, and infrastructure. His work there supported the rapid scaling of the platform. Earlier, he spent several years at Flipkart as Vice President of Engineering, where he played a central role in building customer platforms and technology stacks that supported areas such as product discovery, merchandising, and the company’s early web systems.
In addition to these leadership roles, Bhalotia founded FindMyHealth, a wellness platform that used technology to provide personalized health insights. He has also worked with several startups as an advisor and angel investor. His career began at Oracle in the United States.

Bhalotia holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
