The week (Aug 16-22) saw several CXO movements in the technology industry. Companies such as Razorpay, LS Digital, Nexusnow.ai, and Sify, among others, appointed tech leaders to lead some of their IT and digital affairs. EY India appoints Gaurav Bhalotia as Chief Technology Officer

EY India has appointed Gaurav Bhalotia as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for developing technology strategies and enhancing software solutions for clients. He will focus on building AI and data-driven platforms. Bhalotia has over 20 years of experience leading tech teams, previously serving as CTO at Udaan, where he drove significant growth. He was also Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, contributing to customer platforms and technology stacks. Additionally, he founded FindMyHealth, a wellness platform, and has advised startups as an angel investor. Bhalotia began his career at Oracle in the U.S. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. (Read more)

Razorpay appoints Praveen Parihar as its new CISO

Praveen Parihar has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Razorpay, overseeing the fintech company's cybersecurity strategy as it prepares for a public offering in 18 months. With over 14 years of experience in cybersecurity and risk management, Parihar will focus on strengthening Razorpay's defenses and ensuring regulatory compliance. Previously, he spent five years at Maya, enhancing information security and fraud risk management. He also founded Dailycacy, a food-tech platform that merged local cuisine with secure digital infrastructure, which was acquired by an angel investor. Ravindra Pingle joins as CISO at HDFC Pension

Ravindra Pingle has joined HDFC Pension as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), bringing over 17 years of experience in information security and risk management. He will lead the organisation's security strategy, focusing on governance and data protection against cyber threats. Previously, he was Head of Information Security at Lyra, overseeing security initiatives and compliance for nearly four years. Pingle has held key roles at FIS, Integreon, NIIT Technologies, TVSNET Technologies, and 3i Infotech, specialising in PCI-DSS, ISO standards, and security audits. His expertise also lies in firewalls, penetration testing, and policy frameworks which have helped him build resilient security architectures.

LS Digital appoints Dipali Mahesh as Managing Director

LS Digital has appointed Dipali Mahesh as Managing Director – UI/UX, f1studioz, to shape the growth strategy of f1studioz and scale its global footprint. The UI/UX vertical will be led by Co-founder & Chief Designer, D. Dhayan Kumar, working closely with Mahesh, supported by Prasad Shejale, Founder & CEO of LS Digital. Mahesh brings over 28 years of leadership experience across media and technology. She has held senior roles at Sony Pictures and Extreme Reach (earlier known as Adstream), where she managed multi-market operations across India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. In her new role, Mahesh will be responsible for shaping the growth strategy of f1studioz, scaling its global footprint, and leveraging UI/UX as a core driver of business transformation.

Angel One Limited has appointed Sridhar Govardhan as Group Chief Information Security Officer (GCISO) and Arun Ray as Chief Architect to enhance its technology and cybersecurity teams. Govardhan comes with over two decades of experience, serving in leadership roles at CoinDCX, Flipkart and Wipro. In his role as CISO, he will be responsible for safeguarding client trust and business continuity by ensuring Angel One’s platforms and infrastructure meet the highest standards of data protection, regulatory compliance and cyber resilience. Ray, with 25 years of senior technology leadership at Flipkart, Yahoo!, and Sun Microsystems, has led large-scale system innovations and built highly scalable platforms powering millions of daily transactions. At Angel One, he will lead the long-term technology vision and architectural strategy, focusing on hyper-scalability, product innovation, and building a resilient, secure platform.

Industry veteran Som Satsangi joins Sify Technologies’ board

Sify Digital Services Limited, the IT and Digital Solutions subsidiary of Sify Technologies Limited, has appointed Satsangi as an Independent Director. Satsangi, a technology veteran with over 40 years of experience, most recently led Hewlett Packard, India, where he expanded HPE’s presence, drove customer success, scaled manufacturing, and fostered innovation. He has also held leadership positions in industry forums, including Chairman of AMCHAM in India, member of the USISPF India Executive Leadership Board, and contributor to CII National Council Committees and the World Economic Forum’s South Asia Working Group.
