FICCI and GlobalLogic partner to launch AI platform for MSME resilience

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and GlobalLogic, a Hitachi group company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a Business Resilience Platform (BRP) for India’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The platform uses artificial intelligence to help businesses improve sustainability practices and build resilience.

The MoU was signed under the FICCI Centre for Sustainability Leadership, which provides guidance on adopting sustainability strategies and monitoring their implementation. Founding members of the centre include Hindustan Unilever Limited and HSBC India.

The BRP is designed to help MSMEs navigate changing market demands and improve access to global markets and green financing. It allows businesses to measure and reduce environmental impacts, align with international sustainability goals, and increase supply chain transparency. MSMEs can benchmark performance across 49 indicators using structured data templates, dashboards, and a standardized Resilience Scorecard. The platform also includes readiness heatmaps and peer comparisons to highlight priority areas for growth and compliance.

Jyoti Vij, Director General, FICCI stated, “FICCI Centre for Sustainability Leadership is building sustainable and resilient MSMEs by undertaking intensive capacity building exercises, improving MSME’s understanding of risks and opportunities associated with ESG norms, and equipping them with the skill sets to measure and monitor their risks and ESG performance.”

Piyush Jha, Group Vice-President and Managing Director - Asia-Pacific, GlobalLogic, stated, “By combining our deep digital engineering expertise with FICCI’s sectoral insights, we are equipping MSMEs with practical tools to navigate their sustainability and resilience journey. This also reflects our broader commitment, as part of the Hitachi Group, to contribute meaningfully to social innovation and environmental progress.”
