HPE appoints Sajan Paul as GM for networking business in India

IT major Hewlett Packard Enterprise on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sajan Paul as General Manager, India, for HPE Networking, effective immediately, as the company sharpens its focus on AI-driven, intelligent networking in one of its fastest-growing markets.

In his new role, Paul will be responsible for driving business strategy, execution and growth of HPE’s networking portfolio in India, with a focus on enabling AI-led digital transformation across enterprises, service providers and the public sector.

Paul brings nearly three decades of experience across the telecom and networking industry. Prior to joining HPE, he served as Managing Director and Country Manager for Juniper Networks across India and SAARC, where he led regional strategy, P&L management, sales execution and team leadership. During his tenure, he worked closely with telecom operators, large enterprises and public-sector organisations, including government, defence and education institutions, on large-scale network modernisation initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Paul held senior leadership roles at Cisco Systems, including Vice President – Systems Engineering for the IT and ITeS vertical, and has also worked with Nortel and Avaya.

Paul said India is at an inflection point as enterprises rethink network architectures to support AI, cloud and data-intensive workloads.
