Tamilnad Mercantile Bank moves core functions to Oracle Fusion Cloud

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has migrated its finance, human resources, and customer-facing operations to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications as part of an internal systems overhaul aimed at replacing legacy infrastructure.

Under the transition, the bank consolidated multiple applications into a single cloud-based suite covering finance, workforce management, and customer experience. Finance operations are now run on Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning, while HR processes are handled through Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management. Sales and service teams use Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience to manage customer interactions.

The new setup introduces automation and built-in artificial intelligence across routine processes. In HR, employees can access automated responses for policy-related queries such as leave rules, reducing manual intervention by administrative teams. Finance teams use standardized workflows for accounting and reporting, while customer-facing units operate from a unified data system rather than separate tools.

“As we reimagined how our bank operates and serves customers, we knew we needed a modern, agile, and intelligent foundation. Oracle Fusion Applications helped us consolidate systems and automate key business processes, improve insights, and build an AI-powered foundation to strengthen our operations,” said Salee S. Nair, managing director and chief executive officer, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank.

Shailesh Singla, vice president of cloud applications, Oracle India, said, “With Oracle Fusion Applications, TMB is harnessing embedded AI to streamline finance, HR, sales, and service to drive productivity and elevate the employee and customer experience. This is an example of how AI can empower a time-honored organization to evolve confidently for the AI era.”
