LTIMindtree bags $100 million MedTech engineering mandate in Europe

LTIMindtree, an Indian IT services provider, has secured a $100 million, seven-year contract from a Europe-based medical technology company that develops hearing solutions.

Under the agreement, the IT services firm will handle development and long-term support for the client’s main hearing device portfolio. This includes work on wearable hearing instruments, software used by hearing care professionals to configure and calibrate devices, and a mobile application that allows users to control and manage their hearing aids.

The contract also covers regulatory and compliance responsibilities. Medical device companies in Europe operate under strict rules related to safety, documentation and data protection. LTIMindtree will be responsible for aligning product development with these regulatory requirements as part of the engagement.

To execute the programme, the company will use its iNXT platform, which integrates embedded software, connected devices and enterprise systems. As medical devices become more software-driven, service providers are increasingly expected to manage engineering, testing, updates and compliance in an integrated manner.

The deal comes as LTIMindtree prepares to change its corporate name to LTM Limited, subject to approvals. The move follows the merger of Larsen & Toubro Infotech and Mindtree, after which the company operated under a combined brand. The proposed rebranding signals the next phase of its integration and positioning in the enterprise technology market.
