Orange Business, the enterprise services arm of French telecom major Orange S.A., has entered exclusive negotiations with Tech Mahindra Limited to form a non-equity, five-year global strategic partnership aimed at accelerating end-to-end digital transformation for enterprise customers. The development was disclosed by Tech Mahindra in a stock exchange filing on Monday.

The proposed collaboration will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), automation, secure digital platforms and next-generation connectivity solutions. The companies plan to combine Orange Business’ capabilities in networks, cloud, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure with Tech Mahindra’s systems integration expertise and agile delivery model to co-develop scalable, AI-powered enterprise solutions for global clients.

As part of the discussions, a portion of Orange Business’ global customer support, quote-to-bill operations and post-sales teams outside France may be outsourced to Tech Mahindra. However, the French domestic market and sensitive sovereign sectors such as national security and defence will remain outside the scope of the agreement to ensure compliance with French and European regulatory frameworks. The proposed partnership remains subject to consultations with relevant employee representative bodies.

For Orange Business, the initiative aligns with its ambition to strengthen its position in secure enterprise connectivity and accelerate international expansion. Leveraging Tech Mahindra’s scale and automation capabilities is expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve speed of execution across global markets.

For Tech Mahindra, the potential partnership could expand access to Orange’s global infrastructure footprint, enabling it to offer enhanced AI-led, cloud and cybersecurity services to multinational enterprises. The companies said a comprehensive operational review will be undertaken to identify areas where automation and scalability can be improved, with the aim of strengthening competitiveness and customer experience.

Aliette Mousnier-Lompré, CEO of Orange Business, said the collaboration is intended to accelerate global scale and operational excellence. Mohit Joshi, CEO and Managing Director of Tech Mahindra, described the move as an opportunity to combine complementary strengths to help enterprises fast-track digital transformation. If finalised, the agreement would mark a significant step in expanding global digital infrastructure capabilities without equity cross-holdings.

In November, Tech Mahindra has also pursued industry collaborations such as a licensing agreement with AT&T to access advanced network testing platforms, aimed at enhancing its automation offerings for 5G and LTE network services — underlining its push into telecommunications transformation deals.

In recent quarters, Tech Mahindra Limited has reported strong deal wins and operational momentum that reflect rising demand for its digital and AI-led services. For the quarter ended December 31, 2025 (Q3 FY26), the firm posted an 8 % year-on-year increase in revenue to around ₹14,390 crore and a 14 % jump in net profit to ₹1,122 crore, even as sequential growth was moderate.
