LTTS unveils NVIDIA-backed AI platform for lung imaging and procedure planning

L&T Technology Services has launched an AI-based lung digital twin platform designed for lung navigation, surgical planning, and respiratory diagnostics.

The platform uses NVIDIA technologies to turn CT scan data into a 3D model of a patient’s lungs. It is aimed at helping clinicians study lung anatomy, plan procedures, and support diagnosis in respiratory care settings.

According to the company, the system connects with existing CT imaging workflows and uses deep learning models to build a digital twin of the lungs. The model shows structures such as airways, blood vessels, lung lobes, and lesions. Clinicians can use it to review patient-specific anatomy and map pathways for procedures such as bronchoscopy and biopsy.

The platform is built on NVIDIA Omniverse and OpenUSD for 3D visualization, TensorRT for AI inference, and MONAI for medical image segmentation. These tools help the system identify and reconstruct lung structures from imaging data and support simulation-based planning.

LTTS said the platform is designed to move beyond static CT scan review by creating simulation-ready lung models. This allows clinicians to examine anatomical relationships, plan surgical routes, and support bronchoscopic navigation before a procedure takes place. The company said the system also includes automated segmentation, volumetric analysis, and path planning features, to reduce pre-operative planning time and support procedure safety.

Amit Chadha, CEO & Managing Director, L&T Technology Services, said, “These platforms can transform how clinicians visualize lung anatomy, plan interventions, and deliver precision care. The impact will be visible across the global healthcare ecosystem in the years ahead.”

David Niewolny, Head of Business Development for Healthcare and Medical Technology, NVIDIA, said, “Digital twins are emerging as a powerful new tool for precision medicine. By leveraging NVIDIA Physical AI infrastructure, Omniverse, MONAI, and TensorRT, LTTS is transforming CT data into interactive lung digital twins that allow clinicians to visualize anatomy in 3D, simulate procedures, and plan clinical interventions with greater confidence.”
