Shakti Pumps, a leading Indian manufacturer of solar pumps and motors, has partnered with Salesforce to deploy an artificial intelligence-powered enterprise platform as the solar pump manufacturer looks to transform itself into a broader agri-tech company, underscoring the growing adoption of AI-led digital transformation across India's agriculture ecosystem.

Under the collaboration announced on Wednesday, Shakti Pumps will implement Salesforce's Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, Agentforce Marketing, Consumer Goods Cloud, Field Service, Tableau Next and other AI capabilities to integrate its sales, dealer, field service and customer operations onto a single platform.

The company said the deployment will provide real-time visibility across its dealer network, improve installation and after-sales service, enable personalised farmer engagement and support faster decision-making using AI-driven insights.

The move comes as agriculture-focused enterprises increasingly invest in digital platforms to improve operational efficiency, customer engagement and field execution, while extending AI beyond traditional enterprise functions into rural distribution and service networks.

The implementation is expected to strengthen productivity across Shakti Pumps' network of dealers, distributors and field technicians through AI-powered automation, predictive analytics and omnichannel communication. The platform will also create a foundation for wider enterprise AI adoption across the company's businesses.

"As we work towards our vision of becoming a comprehensive agri-tech partner for India's farmers, technology and AI will be central to how we scale operations, deepen dealer engagement and deliver consistent value across our ecosystem," said Ramesh Patidar, Managing Director, Shakti Pumps.

Rajesh Potdar, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Shakti Pumps, said the company sees AI as a key enabler for making agriculture more resilient, productive and sustainable while improving operational excellence across its businesses.

For Salesforce, the deal reflects its strategy of expanding Agentforce adoption beyond traditional CRM deployments into manufacturing and agriculture-focused enterprises. Vinay Bhat, Regional Vice President, Salesforce India, said AI-enabled platforms will increasingly help manufacturers build connected operations and deliver better experiences to customers and channel partners.

The collaboration will eventually extend across Shakti Group companies, including Shakti Energy Solutions, Shakti Irrigation, Shakti EV Mobility and Shakti Education Trust, with MuleSoft integration creating a unified enterprise data layer.

The announcement follows a series of Salesforce partnerships with Indian enterprises adopting Agentforce to modernise operations. Last week, Triveni Power Transmission selected Salesforce's Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service platforms to unify customer management, business forecasting, tender management and after-sales operations as part of its digital transformation strategy.

The latest partnership also signals Salesforce's growing focus on sector-specific AI deployments in India. The company has been expanding its domestic footprint, growing its India workforce to more than 17,000 employees while positioning Agentforce as the core platform for enterprise AI adoption across industries.
