Samuel John, director of operations at mobile advertising and discovery platform InMobi, has quit the firm after nearly five years to join Bangalore-based native advertising startup GreedyGame. John will be heading operations at GreedyGame, which offers branding solutions for the mobile medium.
This is the second high-profile exit at InMobi this month. InMobi's CFO Manish Dugar had quit the firm earlier this month to join healthcare startup Practo as its global chief financial officer.
GreedyGame is an in-game native advertising platform that helps brands to tap into their precise target demographic.
Two-year-old GreedyGame, owned and operated by GreedyGame Media Pvt Ltd, claims to have more than 1 million daily active users and works with over 50 game companies including industry biggies such as Nazara, Reliance, Games2win, Octro, Nextwave, Hungama and Disney.
"Native advertising is the future of mobile advertising and GreedyGame is pioneering in this business of meaningful user friendly ad experiences," John said.
"Sam joins us at a great time in our journey. We are at a stage where we have started focusing more on building processes that help scale our product to different publishers and advertisers across geographies," said Arpit Jain, CEO, GreedyGame.
GreedyGame is looking to raise its Series A round and is planning to expand its reach to the Middle East and the Southeast Asia region.
