Robotic process automation (RPA) software firm Automation Anywhere has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chennai-based non-profit organisation ICT Academy to offer a range of reskilling courses to students.
The partnership aims to offer more than 500,000 RPA related courses in the next two years, the company said in a statement. The collaboration will also see the deployment of a range of education, training, and certification programs across 400 colleges across ten states.
“Education providers and students in India need to be at the forefront of the digital transformation revolution across the nation. Imparting next-gen technical skills amongst students is a critical cornerstone and deeply related to the future of digital workforce development,” said Milan Sheth, EVP - IMEA, Automation Anywhere.
The MoU was signed at the 43rd Bridge Conference, the flagship event of ICT Academy.
The learners joining through ICT Academy’s learning initiative will have access to learn content hosted on Automation Anywhere University (AAU), the training and certification arm of Automation Anywhere. The programme offers role-based learning trails and courses ranging from beginner to expert level, the joint statement added.
The programme has expanded globally with over 65 authorised training partners, more than 300 academic institutions, continuing education programs, and professional associations, said Automation Anywhere.
Automation Anywhere claims that it has trained more than 500,000 developers, business analysts, partners, and students in RPA, through AAU.
“With this partnership, we look ahead to develop the RPA skills among the faculty members and students across the country, including rural India,” said M Sivakumar, CEO of ICT Academy.
ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state governments and industries. It is a not-for-profit society and a joint venture under the public-private-partnership model.
