Travel services provider Yatra Online has partnered with digital payments startup Zaggle to offer expense automation solutions to its customers.

Through the deal, Gurugram headquartered Yatra will be able to provide added expense management features on its deals to its corporate clients along with a corporate card programme on top of its existing online travel solution, a statement said.

"We are diversifying beyond our portfolio of travel to become an end to end business solution partner for our clients. Our technology platforms complement each other and we look forward to growing with Zaggle to drive lasting business impact for our clients," Dhruv Shringi, co-founder and CEO of Yatra.com said.

The deal comes after Yatra's plans to acquire software firm Ebix, which owns payment platform ItzCash, failed last month over allegation of violation of the agreement by both companies.

Nasdaq listed Yatra is a corporate travel platform in India with a client base of over 850 companies and 20,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

Founded in 2006, Yatra provides information on pricing and availability for all modes of travel and also offers packaged booking for domestic and international air travel and hotel bookings, holiday packages, packages for travel via buses and trains and point-to-point cabs, homestays and cruises.

"By partnering with Yatra, we will be able to maximize our reach into the corporate segment and further strengthen our base in the expense management industry. Yatra’s stronghold in the B2E (business to employee) sector provides us with a great opportunity to empower businesses across sectors and improve their efficiency and accuracy in terms of expenditure," Raj N, founder of Zaggle said.

Founded in 2011, Zaggle also offers employee reimbursement solutions along with expense automation platform built on the acquisition of digital payments firm Click & Pay in 2018. It has tied up with RBL Bank, YES Bank and IndusInd Bank on the lender side and with payments card service providers Visa and Mastercard.

Zaggle claims to have over 2500 clients, 10,000 merchants and 4.5 million users,  mainly SMEs registered on its platform.
