Reliance, Google partner to boost AI adoption across Indian enterprises, consumers

Reliance Industries Limited, through its subsidiary Reliance Intelligence Limited, has entered into a strategic partnership with Google to expand the use of artificial intelligence (AI) across India. The collaboration focuses on making AI tools accessible to consumers, enterprises, and developers, aligning with Reliance’s vision of “AI for All.”

Under the partnership, Google will offer its AI Pro plan to eligible Jio users at no cost for 18 months. The plan includes access to Google’s latest Gemini 2.5 Pro model, image and video generation tools such as Nano Banana and Veo 3.1, Notebook LM for study and research, and 2 TB of cloud storage.

Reliance and Google will also collaborate on AI infrastructure development. Reliance will partner with Google Cloud to provide access to Google’s Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) in India. These hardware accelerators will allow enterprises and developers to train and deploy advanced AI models, improve computing performance, and support the creation of a large-scale AI ecosystem. This effort aligns with India’s goal of building sovereign, clean energy-powered data and compute capacity to support national AI initiatives.

Additionally, Reliance Intelligence will serve as a strategic go-to-market partner for Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise platform in India. Gemini Enterprise is designed to help businesses integrate AI agents into workflows and operations. Reliance will also develop its own AI agents for the platform, offering pre-built enterprise solutions to support industries across sectors.

Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries Limited, said, “Through our collaboration with strategic and long-term partners like Google, we aim to make India not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered - where every citizen and enterprise can harness intelligent tools to create, innovate and grow.”

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said, "Reliance is a longstanding partner in Google’s goal of advancing India’s digital future – together we’ve brought affordable internet access and smartphones to millions. Now, we are bringing this collaboration into the AI era."
