TCS, Honeywell partner to integrate IT, OT for autonomous enterprise operations
Tata Consultancy Services and Honeywell have announced a partnership to help building and industrial operators shift from traditional automation systems to autonomous enterprise operations.
The companies plan to integrate information technology and operational technology environments. TCS will provide IT modernization, cloud, and consulting services. Honeywell will contribute its automation, control systems, and AI-based analytics platforms.
The collaboration will focus on enabling operational technology data to move into enterprise IT systems. The goal is to create a unified digital foundation that allows real-time monitoring, predictive analysis, and automated process control across facilities and industrial sites.
Honeywell will deploy its Honeywell Forge platform, including Honeywell Forge for Industrials and Honeywell Forge for Buildings. The platform provides data analytics, dashboards, and performance management tools designed to support industrial and building operations. TCS will support system integration and enterprise-wide deployment.
The companies said the joint offering will allow organizations to combine IT and OT systems into a single infrastructure. This integration is expected to help operators analyze data from equipment and facilities, automate workflows, and improve decision-making through AI-driven insights.
The partnership will also include cybersecurity tools for operational environments, as well as technologies to improve asset uptime and workforce performance.
Anupam Singhal, President - Manufacturing, TCS, said, “By combining the deep industry expertise of both Honeywell and TCS with our strong digital and AI capabilities, we are enabling organizations to run more connected, efficient, and sustainable operations.”
Ashish Modi, President, Honeywell India & Asia Pacific, said, “Our customers run incredibly complex operations. Historically, OT and IT have been run as separate domains. Still, with new capabilities in 5G connectivity, cloud computing, and AI, we can now accelerate the OT/IT convergence to improve operations and data analysis through one cohesive system.”
