TCS, GitLab partner to deploy AI orchestration for enterprise software delivery

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an IT services provider, has entered into a partnership with GitLab Inc., the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, to bring AI-driven orchestration and automation to enterprise software development. The two companies plan to help large organizations speed up software delivery while maintaining security and compliance standards.

The collaboration combines TCS’s enterprise transformation services with GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. A key focus is the GitLab Duo Agent Platform, which enables enterprises to deploy and manage AI agents across the software development lifecycle. The platform supports agent-based chat, pre-built AI agents, custom agent creation, integration with external AI tools, and governance controls.

Under the partnership, TCS will support enterprises in implementing the GitLab platform, modernizing legacy development environments, and consolidating fragmented toolchains. The aim is to create automated workflows from planning to deployment, while improving visibility and control across development teams. TCS will also design industry-specific AI workflow templates and pre-built agents to address common business use cases.

The companies said the offering is intended to help enterprises adopt AI-enabled DevSecOps without compromising regulatory requirements. TCS will provide advisory services, migration planning, custom agent development, and managed platform services. Its Centers of Excellence will support enterprise adoption, change management, and ongoing operations.

The partnership targets sectors including telecommunications, financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and the public sector. In telecom and media, enterprises are under pressure to support 5G rollouts and digital platforms. In banking and financial services, firms are working to modernize core systems while meeting compliance obligations.
