Indian mid-sized IT firm Coforge on Thursday signed a strategic partnership with US-based VHC Health, under which the Indian IT services firm will serve as the latter’s digital and IT services provider, as it deepens its push into healthcare-led transformation mandates.

VHC Health is an independent, not-for-profit, 548-bed health system serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area, anchored by a nationally recognised teaching hospital.

Under the agreement, Coforge will act as VHC Health’s end-to-end transformation partner across infrastructure, cloud, digital workplace and cybersecurity. The scope includes exiting legacy data centres, migrating workloads to Amazon Web Services, modernising network infrastructure and implementing HiTrust-aligned security frameworks to strengthen cyber resilience. The programme is designed to align digital investments with clinical and operational priorities while enhancing caregiver and clinician experience.

The engagement will begin with the rollout of IT Service Management processes on ServiceNow, followed by the deployment of Coforge’s AI-led EvolveOps.AI and SecureOps platforms. These offerings aim to improve service availability, operational stability and security posture, while enabling a proactive, outcomes-driven operating model. Delivery will follow a hybrid model tailored to healthcare provider requirements.

Sudhir Singh, CEO and Executive Director of Coforge, said healthcare continues to be a key growth engine for the company and that the mandate reinforces its ability to modernise core digital foundations while embedding AI at enterprise scale. He added that providers are moving beyond AI experimentation towards measurable improvements in clinician experience, resilience and security.

Dave Peterson, Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer at VHC Health, said the partnership will accelerate the organisation’s digital roadmap while keeping clinicians and caregivers at the centre of technology decisions.
Coforge said its caregiver-focused approach prioritises system reliability and security, supported by AI-enabled operations, onshore digital workplace services and focused teams addressing clinician and patient experience outcomes.

The announcement comes a day after Coforge disclosed a $158 million, five-year contract win from a UK-based client, set to commence in April 2026, with additional ancillary revenue opportunities expected over the contract period.
