Last September, Xplorabox had bagged seed funding from Z Nation Lab, Metaform and Sridham Enterprises LLP.

An educational subscription e-commerce startup, Xplorabox focuses on engaging children aged between two and 12 years to promote ‘Learning Through Fun’ with their activity-based learning programmes, said a company statement.

Speaking of the company’s future plans after the round of angel funding, Xplorabox CTO Dhirendra Meena said: “We are working on some exciting products which are slated for launch in the next 9 to 12 months. They will cause massive disruption in the industry.”

“Xplorabox targets an average rate of return of Rs 100 crore within the next three years,” added Meena, who is also a co-founder of the ed-tech startup.

Moti Vyas, a SucSEED investor, said the firm has invested in many ed-tech ventures and Xplorabox “fits nicely” in its ed-tech portfolio with many offerings. “Xplorabox mitigates the adverse impact of the digital technology revolution with hands-on learning away from screens,” said the member of the Hyderabad-based investor network.

Xplorabox was founded in 2015 by husband-wife duo Rishi and Shweta Das along with Dhirendra Meena and Rishabh Gupta. The company says it has served more than 50,000 customers and dispatched kits to over 500 cities. Their education-based learning activity kits provide learning opportunities and sharpen children’s motor and cognitive skills while veering them away from rampantly-increasing exposure to screens.
