Max Bupa Health Insurance Co. Ltd on Wednesday said it will make available its “bite-sized” products for customers of digital payments firm One MobiKwik Systems Pvt. Ltd.
Bite-sized offerings are easier to buy than over-the-counter health insurance products and are targeted at professionals and millennials, Max Bupa added in a statement.
Max Bupa’s HospiCash, which will be made available on the MobiKwik app, provides pre-determined daily allowance on the basis of the number of days of hospitalisation to facilitate out-of-pocket expenses.
The fixed-benefit cancer plan will be another offering on MobiKwik’s platform.
An offering covering vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria will soon be deployed on the digital payments platform.
Ashish Mehrotra, managing director and chief executive, Max Bupa, said, “Our alliance with MobiKwik fortifies our commitment to make quality health insurance products more affordable and accessible to millions of customers across India through digital innovations. We are enabling financial inclusion… and plan to acquire one million MobiKwik customers over the next three to four years.”
