Personal information of about 1.29 million customers of fashion platform Limeroad was allegedly breached and put up for sale on the dark web, The Economic Times reported, citing data from American cybersecurity firm Cyble. The leaked data included full names, phone numbers and email IDs of customers, it said. However, Inc42 reported that the ecommerce platform called the allegations baseless, claiming that the data points were just random selections.

Amazon Pantry adds over 300 cities to its network

Amazon Pantry, the grocery delivery unit of the retail giant, has added 300 cities to its network in India, taking its total reach to 10,000 pincodes, according to an Entrackr report. The service will be accessible by customers in smaller cities such as Allahabad, Amreli, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi, Nainital and Bhopal, it said. The platform competes with companies such as BigBasket and Grofers in this segment.

VMware, Netmagic partner to roll out cloud health services

Palo Alto headquartered software firm VMware has entered into a partnership with IT services and technology solutions provider Netmagic to roll out a cloud health service called SimpliInsight, in India. The solution, which looks to accelerate business transformation in the cloud, is powered by VMware CloudHealth service, it said. The VMware Cloud Provider Program (VCPP) is a global ecosystem of providers offering cloud services based on VMware technology.  

TalentSprint, Blue Prism to provide RPA training for college students 

Hyderabad-based education centre TalentSprint has partnered with robotics process automation (RPA) software provider Blue Prism to provide RPA skills training for college students. The programme, which will be offered to students in over 50 colleges, aims to certify 10,000 individuals by the end of the year, according to a statement.  

BookMyShow releases live video streaming platform

Online ticketing company BookMyShow has released a video streaming platform for live entertainment, called BookMyShow Online. It caters to people across India, the US, North America, the UK and Germany, a statement said. The platform will host its first virtual music festival, Sunburn Home Festival, on July 11 and 12, it added.

Dell rolls out new storage systems in India, boosts OS capabilities

Computer technology company Dell said it has launched a new family of storage systems, called Dell EMC PowerScale, which are engineered with storage software and server hardware. This will help customers manage file and object data in core data centres, edge locations and the public cloud, a statement said. Additionally, the PowerScale OneFS operating system has introduced software capabilities, such as enhanced data reduction technology, and support for Ansible and Kubernetes, it said.
