Bed Bath & Beyond Mexico has chosen Bengaluru-born cloud analytics solution provider Algonomy, previously Manthan-RichRelevance, to personalise its digital commerce search experiences.

The Naucalpan-based omnichannel home furnishings and décor retailer will use Algonomy’s proprietary service offering FIND, which brands itself as artificial intelligence-enabled personalised search.

The software helps personalize search results for shoppers, to improve findability.

Bed Bath & Beyond, operating over 1,460 stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico regions, sells a wide assortment of merchandise in the home, baby, beauty and wellness markets.

At the Mexican businesses, Algonomy’s FIND will integrate with Adobe’s Magento eCommerce platform and use real-time shopper behaviour to personalize search results.

FIND uses Algonomy’s real-time streaming catalogue which will ensure that catalogue changes are indexed in real-time so that critical product attributes are always up to date.

The digital stores will now be able to put-to-use real time behavioural data and shopper profiles to uniquely personalize search results for every shopper.

“Search is no more just another tool, it’s a key business lever, and a relevant and engaging experience can help our shoppers find what they need and complement in-store assistants online,” Adrian Valenzuela, chief digital officer at Bed Bath & Beyond Mexico, said.

The Mexican stores of the company witnessed an 86% increase in digital growth in 2020, twice as many customers buying online, thereby strengthening the need for ‘digital-first’ omnichannel experiences.
