Deloitte India deepens Google Cloud alliance to roll out AI-led cybersecurity services

Deloitte India on Wednesday expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to deliver AI-led cybersecurity solutions tailored for Indian enterprises and public sector organisations, as companies grapple with an increasingly complex threat landscape and tighter regulatory scrutiny.
Under the expanded collaboration, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP will serve as a premier partner, reseller and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) for Google Cloud in India. The tie-up combines Deloitte’s security advisory and managed services capabilities with Google Cloud’s AI-first security operations portfolio, aiming to help organisations modernise cyber defence while meeting local compliance requirements.
“In an era where digital trust is the currency of businesses, our alliance with Google Cloud marks a significant milestone for the Indian market,” said Tarun Kaura, partner at Deloitte India. He added that Deloitte’s advisory layer would help ensure Google Cloud’s security tools are deployed in line with Indian regulatory frameworks, easing compliance for enterprises and government bodies.

The partnership is designed to address a confluence of challenges facing Indian organisations: AI-enabled cyber threats, rising data localisation and compliance mandates, a shortage of cybersecurity talent and fragmented security tools that limit visibility. “The partnership has been established to address these needs with an integrated, cloud-native security operations approach that uses AI to help defend against AI-enabled threats,” said Anand Tiwari, partner at Deloitte India.
A core focus will be on helping clients design and operate modern security operations centres (SOCs), migrate legacy environments to the cloud and adopt security-as-a-service models. This approach is intended to improve threat detection and response without forcing organisations to build and staff large in-house SOC teams.
Deloitte will deploy and manage key Google Cloud security offerings, including Google Security Operations for 24/7 managed detection and response, Google Cloud Cybershield™ for national- and state-level cyber defence centres, and Google Threat Intelligence, which draws on insights from Mandiant, VirusTotal and Google to proactively hunt threats.

“Security is not an add-on; it is the foundation of all digital innovation,” said Sandeep Patil, head of security partners and managed services at Google Cloud for Asia Pacific and Japan. He said Deloitte is well positioned to operationalise Google’s AI-first security platform and democratise access to “nation-state grade” security capabilities.
While Deloitte and Google Cloud have a global partnership, the India-focused expansion reflects the growing importance of context-aware cyber defence aligned with local regulations such as those issued by RBI, SEBI and IRDA, as well as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
Jyoti Prakash, head of security sales at Google Cloud India, said the partnership would help Indian organisations detect and respond to threats at scale, while using AI-driven tools, including Gemini in Security, to reduce analyst burnout and bridge the cybersecurity talent gap.
