Triveni Power taps Salesforce to deploy AI platform for sales, customer operations

Triveni Power Transmission Ltd. (TPTL), a manufacturer of industrial gearboxes and engineered power transmission solutions, has partnered with Salesforce to deploy its AI-powered customer relationship management (CRM) platform as the company accelerates its digital transformation ahead of its planned independent listing.
Under the partnership, TPTL will implement Salesforce's Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service platforms to bring sales, bid management, customer service and business forecasting onto a unified digital platform. The company said the implementation is aimed at improving customer engagement, strengthening operational visibility and enabling faster decision-making across business functions.
The platform will integrate customer interactions with manufacturing, delivery, invoicing and after-sales support, providing end-to-end visibility across the customer lifecycle. The company also plans to use AI-powered analytics to improve forecasting, identify growth opportunities and proactively manage business risks. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

The announcement comes as manufacturing companies increasingly invest in AI and enterprise software to modernise customer-facing operations alongside factory automation. While early digital transformation initiatives largely focused on production efficiency, companies are now extending AI capabilities into sales, service and commercial operations to improve business agility and customer responsiveness.
"As TPTL enters its next phase of growth, digital transformation is a strategic priority—not only to strengthen systems and governance, but also to create a more agile and insight-led organisation," said Tarun Sawhney, Director, Triveni Power Transmission Ltd.
Rajiv Rajpal, Chief Executive Officer of TPTL, said the integrated platform would improve visibility across the customer lifecycle, from opportunity identification and tender management to project execution and after-sales support. "This will help us strengthen customer relationships, improve business predictability and deliver a more seamless customer experience," he said.

Salesforce said the implementation would establish a foundation for future AI-enabled sales and customer intelligence capabilities.
"By connecting data, intelligence and customer engagement across the lifecycle, industrial organisations can unlock new growth opportunities," said Mankiran Chowhan, Managing Director, Salesforce India.
The partnership follows the demerger of Triveni Engineering & Industries' power transmission business into Triveni Power Transmission Ltd., which is expected to be listed independently on the National Stock Exchange and BSE, subject to regulatory approvals.

Headquartered in Mysuru, TPTL manufactures high-speed gearboxes and engineered power transmission solutions for industries including power generation, oil and gas, defence and other industrial applications. The company has more than 14,000 installations across over 80 countries and an installed gear capacity exceeding 50 GW.
