From building a chatbot that understands Hinglish to using artificial intelligence solutions that predict consumer behaviour, online travel company MakeMyTrip is making sure its services are tailor made for the Indian market.
Sanjay Mohan, chief technology officer of MakeMyTrip, believes the personalisation of experiences is changing the way companies interact with their customers.
"What is left now for most of the companies is to personalize the experiences. Almost all consumer internet companies are playing the same game. I think that's the last frontier," Mohan said in an interview TechCircle.
Prior to MakeMyTrip, Mohan, worked across the technology industry in companies such as IBM, Infosys and Yahoo.
MakeMyTrip has been using data heavy technologies for the last couple of years and is looking to partner with startups to invest in voice bots, Mohan added.
The Gurugram-headquartered company recently reported a 13.6% year-on-year growth in revenues for its second quarter ended September 2019. The Ctrip-backed company also recently moved into the emerging homestays market where it competes with industry giants such as Airbnb.
