TechThisWeek: Q2 IT earnings; Paytm’s new launchpads; deals and dealmaking


India’s largest IT exporter Tata Consultancy Services reported a 3% increase in quarterly revenues to Rs 40,135 crore, beating Dalal Street expectations, even as net profits declined 7% from a year ago.

Bengaluru-based Unocoin Technologies, which runs an eponymous cryptocurrency exchange, raised an undisclosed sum as part of a targeted $5 million Series A funding round. 

The company’s co-founder and CEO Sathvik Vishwanath joined TechThisWeek to discuss the regulatory framework and interest from retail investors in the cryptocurrency space.
