In the most important news development of the week, IT services firm Wipro announced that it will buy London based technology consulting firm Capco for $1.45 billion. This is the Bengaluru based firm’s largest acquisition to date and is expected to further its growth in the BFSI sector. 

Sanjeev Hota, vice president and head of research at Sharekhan by BNP Paribas, joined TechThisWeek to break down the deal and share his perspective on why the stock markets aren’t cheering the development.
