The week (July 5-11) saw several CXO movements in the technology domain. Technology companies such as Altimetrik, Autodesk, Digital Connexion, NIIT and Visionet Systems appointed industry leaders in key business positions. Non-IT companies such as Central Bank of India, Okaya Power and Ferguson, among others, appointed tech executives to lead some of their IT and digital affairs. Here’s a roundup:

Digital Connexion names former Sify Digital head as its new CEO

Digital Connexion, a provider of data centre, colocation, and connectivity solutions, appointed CR Srinivasan as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to expand its footprint in India’s rapidly growing digital landscape. Srinivasan comes with over 30 years of experience and has worked across telecommunications, information technology, cybersecurity, and digital services. Previously, he served as CEO of Sify Digital Services Limited and also led the cloud and cybersecurity division at Tata Communications. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Madras University. (Read more)

Autodesk appoints VP for India and SAARC business

Design software firm Autodesk appointed Kamolika Gupta Peres as the vice president for its India and SAARC business. In this role, Peres will lead the company’s growth and scaling efforts in the region and strengthen Autodesk’s customer and partner ecosystem. She will work closely with key stakeholders to drive strong execution and help expand Autodesk’s footprint by tapping into India’s business opportunities and growing its investments in public infrastructure. Before joining Autodesk, she was the group vice president and managing director for India and South Asia at ServiceNow, where she helped the firm expand into the public sector, launched a skilling program with the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and inaugurated the India Innovation Centre. She has also held various leadership positions in technology companies, including Google, SAP, and IBM. (Read more)

Visionet Systems appoints Anand Sampath to lead India operations

IT services provider Visionet Systems has announced that Anand Sampath, its Global Head of Business Process Services, will take on additional responsibilities overseeing the firm’s operations in India. This follows the departure of Sandeep Agarwal, who led the India centre over the past four years. With more than 20 years of experience leading teams and driving operational success across various functions, Sampath is well-equipped to steer the centre’s next phase of development. He will collaborate with regional leaders to improve operational efficiency, align different functions, and ensure the India centre meets the changing needs of clients. Sampath holds a Business Strategy Certificate from Cornell University, an MBA in Marketing from Christ University, Bangalore, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University. Harsh Kundra appointed head of technology for NIIT Digital

NIIT Limited, a Skills & Talent development corporation, named Harsh Kundra as the Head of Technology for NIIT Digital, a platform for professional learning. In this role, he will lead the company’s digital technology initiatives and oversee the next phase of its technology development. Kundra brings extensive experience in product engineering, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation. Before joining NIIT, he was the Chief Technology Officer at LEAD School, where he led the development of its educational technology infrastructure. He has also co-founded two technology ventures, including Tolexo Online and a B2B retail ecommerce platform. Kundra holds a master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. (Read more)

Altimetrik names Sreenivas V as its chief financial officer

Altimetrik, a data and Digital engineering solutions company, announced the appointment of Sreenivas V as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to CEO Raj Sundaresan, Sreenivas will drive the company’s financial strategy as it expands its AI-led initiatives and global reach, including the recent agreement to acquire SLK Software. With over two decades of leadership experience in technology, corporate strategy, M&A, and business transformation across 30+ countries, Sreenivas has contributed to major industry milestones such as India’s largest private-sector IPO at TCS and significant private equity investments in Indian IT. An alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Calcutta, Sreenivas holds advanced certifications in Finance, Treasury Management, and Investment Management.

Prakash Dharmani joins Okaya Power Group as CIO

Rajendra Bhalerao appointed as CISO at Central Bank of India

Rajendra Bhalerao has been appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Central Bank of India. With over two decades of expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and digital infrastructure, Bhalerao will lead the bank's information security strategy and help strengthen its cyber resilience in today's evolving threat landscape. Prior to joining Central Bank of India, Bhalerao held senior leadership roles at premier financial institutions and technology firms such as Scotiabank, SBM Bank, Paytm Payments Bank, and NPCI. He has successfully implemented large-scale security programs including PCI-DSS, SOC operations, SIEM monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and ISO27001 compliance. His career spans key roles at IndusInd Bank, WNS, Alcatel-Lucent, Mastek, EY, and Paladion, where he consistently delivered strategic security transformation initiatives. 

Vijoy Basu joins Ferguson as Director of Data Science & AI

Vijoy Basu has joined Ferguson as the Director of Data Science & AI. With over two decades of experience in AI, data analytics, and enterprise technology leadership, Basu will lead Ferguson's data and AI strategy to unlock innovation, drive intelligent automation, and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Before this role, Basu held key leadership positions at industry-leading organisations such as Firstsource, Cognizant, and GE, where he led large-scale data initiatives, AI-driven transformation programs, and built scalable analytics ecosystems. He has been instrumental in establishing enterprise data governance frameworks, creating AI Centres of Excellence, and advocating for the adoption of GenAI in business functions. Basu also serves on the Advisory Council of Harvard Business Review and has contributed to thought leadership through platforms such as 3AI and the Analytics India Leaders Council.
