This week (June 3-June 9) saw several high-profile CXO movements in the technology industry — both in India and globally. Companies such as Kaspersky announced the appointment of the head of its India operations. Other tech firms such as Noventiq, Nothing and Lightspeed Photonics also announced some major appointments in key business positions. Kaspersky ropes in ex-Citrix exec Jaydeep Singh to head its India operations
Cyber security company Kaspersky on Wednesday said that it has appointed Jaydeep Singh as its general manager for India to head operations in the country. Prior to this, Singh was heading IT firm Citrix’s business for mid-market, commercial and state public sector in India & SAARC. In his new role, Singh will be responsible for leading Kaspersky's business operations and driving growth across the country, especially in the enterprise segment. (Read more)
KRC Murty joins YES Bank as Senior President, to head digital initiatives
Private lender YES Bank has announced the appointment of KRC Murty as senior president and head of business and digital technology solutions group. Murty, a seasoned professional with over 28 years of experience in the Information Technology and Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) segment, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He has worked with some of the largest BFSI organisations like Times Bank, HDFC Bank, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank AG. (Read more)
Noventiq promotes Atul Ahuja as chief technology officer
Noventiq, a digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions provider, on Tuesday, has promoted Atul Ahuja to chief technology officer (CTO). Ahuja joined Noventiq in October 2022 as senior vice president for Middle-East, Africa and Asia. In this new role, Ahuja will report directly to Noventiq’s CEO, Hervé Tessler and will help drive the company’s technological innovation and research and development (R&D) activities. Nothing Technology Limited, a consumer electronics manufacturer based in London, announced the appointment of Pranay Rao as its marketing director for India. Rao has nearly two-decades of experience in marketing, sales and brand strategy and will be leading the marketing team at Nothing. Hyderabad-based deeptech startup Lightspeed Photonics that builds optical interconnects that send data into the chips directly through lasers, on Monday, announced the appointment of Mahir Mehta as its new chief business officer (CBO). Mehta joins Lightspeed Photonics from Intel, where he served as the Business Development Director for the Internet of Things (IoT) and played a pivotal role in driving the success of the Intel Startup Program. Inderbir Singh Pall named CTO of InMobi advertising platform
Bengaluru-based mobile advertising and marketing platform InMobi has named Inderbir Singh Pall as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for InMobi Advertising Platform. Since joining the firm in 2020 as senior vice president, he pivoted its data management platform for hedge funds TruFactor, a business unit within the company, scaling up the commerce advertising business at InMobi. In his current role as CTO, Pall will oversee InMobi’s technology strategy, product development, and engineering teams, ensuring their seamless alignment with the company’s overarching vision and objectives. Snap taps Ex-Google VP of Engineering to its lead core infrastructure
Eric Young, who previously served as vice president of engineering at Google Cloud, has joined augmented reality focused social media firm Snap, according to a Reuters report. Young, who used to head core infrastructure at Google, has joined Snap as the senior vice president of engineering. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has appointed Rachel Conlan as the company’s vice president of global marketing. In her new role, Conlan will lead Binance’s marketing and brand campaigns worldwide. Prior to this, she worked with OKX as the global head of brand and partnerships. Conlan will be reporting to Binance co-founder and chief marketing officer Yi He. Twitter loses another top executive amid concerns over platform's future
AJ Brown, the head of brand safety and ad quality at Twitter, has resigned from his role at the company reported by Wall Street Journal. Brown was involved in initiatives aimed at preventing advertisements from being displayed alongside inappropriate content, he is also the second safety leader to depart in a matter of days. Brown had served at the company for over six years. Towards the end of his time there, his role involved guaranteeing that advertisers had a secure environment to display their ads on the platform.
